Social Media Backlash: Students' Response
While there have been plenty of positive feedback for the flag protest, we felt it important to show why the issues we are talking about matters. There is still racism in Mississippi and there is racism at Mississippi State. The students voicing these hateful opinions are the ones Black students at MSU have to interact with on a daily basis. They are the ones who perpetuate the inequality on campus as well as the administration. These responses show how much hate, bigotry, racism and close-mindedness is on this campus, and it reaffirms why it is important that we keep the movement going––moving forward with all speed.
